Welcome to the beautiful Lake Fausse Point State Park located in Louisiana's Atchafalaya Basin not far from Saint Martinville. For thousands of years before the first European settlers arrived in the region this was prime hunting and fishing ground for the Chitimacha Native American tribe.
Camping: Lake Fausse Point State Park boasts dozens of campsites with electricity and water as well as a few backcountry sites including a few that are only accessible by canoe. Come out and spend a few nights.
