Welcome to Brookline Reservoir Park in Brookline, Massachusetts. The Brookline Reservoir was built in the mid-19th century in order to supply the City of Boston with drinking water. In 1902 the City proposed selling the land and a few local residents put forward the money to protect it from development. Today once can walk the 1 mile paved multipurpose trail around the lake.
