Welcome to Fort Washington Park in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a section of Boston and home to two of the world's top educational institutions, Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior. This fort was built by members of the Continental Army under orders of General George Washington, who eventually became the 1st President of the United States.
