Herring Run Park

Baltimore, Maryland

Welcome to Herring Run Park in Baltimore, Maryland. This beautiful urban park was first established in 1904 and was one of many across the United States to be designed by the Olmsted Brothers. This is a forested park that helps protect the banks of Herring Run, a small river that runs through it. Some of the wildlife include owls, hawks, squirrels, raccoons, foxes, and even white-tailed deer. A section of the park was even once an operating landfill that has since returned to nature.
