Calvert Cliffs State Park
Welcome to the beautiful Calvert Cliffs State Park located on the shoreline of the Chesapeake Bay in southern Maryland. These cliffs were formed about 10-20 million years ago when a shallow sea covered the region. Today one can find among the cliffs fossils of species from that time including sharks, rays, whales, and very large seabirds. Come out cool down at the beach on hot summer days, explore over 13 miles of trails, and have fun.
