Rachel Carson Conservation Park
Rachel Carson Conservation Park is an undeveloped natural park located in Olney, Maryland. It was named after the well renouned conservationist Rachel Carson. This park helps protect the home of white-tailed deer, red-tailed hawks, gray squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, and numerous others. Montgomery County purchased most of this land after Rachel Carson passed away in 1964. Though the park is mostly undeveloped it does have six miles of multipurpose trails for hikers and equestrians.
