Nahmakanta Public Reserved Land

Welcome to the Nahmakanta Public Reserved Land located in Piscataquis County, Maine. The Appalachian Trail runs through this preserve along the shores of Nahmakanta Lake and many hikers come here to seek an adventure in the wilderness of the roadless Debsconeag backcountry. Some of the preserves trails along Turtle Ridge offer spectacular views of Mt. Katahdin, the highest point in the State of Maine. There are many campsites accessible by boat and a snowmobile runs through the preserve to connect the towns of Greenville and Millinocket. Come on out and have a blast!
