Mount Blue State Park

Weld, Maine

Welcome to Maine's largest State Park, the beautiful Mount Blue State Park located in the nothern Appalachian Mountains. Long before the first Europeans arrived in the region this was prime hunting and fishing ground for Native Americans for thousands of years. The first white farmers arrived in the late 18th century and it was the prime use of land in the region for the next 140 years. In the 1930's the Federal Government bought large tracts of land that they eventually deeded to the State of Maine thereby creating Mount Blue State Park. Come out and explore many miles of multipurpose trails. Mount Blue itself is 3,187 feet above sea level at the summit.
