Sharon Mills Park
Welcome to Sharon Mills Park located in southwest Washtenaw County on the banks of River Raisin.
Park History: The mill that stands inside this park was first constructed in 1835 and was purchased by the great Henry Ford a century later in the 1930's who turned it into the 13th Ford Village Industries Plant which made cigar lighters. Sadly Ford has to close the plant in 1946 and for the next few decades the mill was primarily used as a private residence. Sharon Mills Park was first established in 1999 and is a popular location for weddings and other events today. It is also on the State of Michigan Register of Historic Places.
