Tahquamenon Falls State Park
Welcome to the beautiful Tahquamenon Falls State Park, a large protected Michigan Wilderness! The park's main feature of course is Tahquamenon Falls itself which is over 200 feet wide and 50 feet high and can flow at a rate of 50,000 gallons a second thus making it one of the nation's largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi River. For thousands of years this place was a popular fishing ground to the Native Americans and is even the homeland of the famous Hiawatha. Come out and explore many miles of multipurpose trails.
