Carter Strong Bird Sanctuary is a small yet ecologically sensitive preserve located near Traverse City. This wetlands preserve helps protect habitat for the Rose Pogonia and the Pitcher Plant. There are no designated trails and the best way to see the preserve is by kayak or canoe.
