Welcome to Minnesota's beautiful Sand Dunes State Forest, an oak forest and prairie wilderness located northwest of the Twin Cities at the edge of the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge. Come out and explore many miles of multipurpose trails for all seasons. Some of the resident wildlife include white-tailed deer, raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, red-tailed hawks, and many others.
