Welcome to Lake Johanna Esker Preserve in Brooten, Minnesota. This preserve's central feature is that it is home to one of the few protected and publicly accessible eskers in Minnesota, this one stands 70 feet high serpentine ridge of gravel and sand that was carved out by giacial retreat thousands of years ago. Come out for some great hiking and bird-watching opportunities.
