Lake Hanska County Park
Welcome to Lake Hanska County Park in Hanska, Minnesota. This park has fun activities and a neat history. One can do some fishing on the lake, grill some meats at the picnic area, explore the trails, or bring the kids to the playground. Come out and have fun.
History: Archeologists estimate that Native American hunting tribes occupied this land as far back as 5oo B.C. until about 1,000 A.D. and after them it was primarily agricultural tribes until the Europeans arrived. One can also find a cabin in the park that dates back to 1850. At the close of the 19th century it became the Fort Hanska Amusement Park and in 1978 it finally became a county park.
Camping: This park’s campground has several shaded sites with electrical hookups. Restrooms with showers as well as a sanitary dump are located in the campground. Come out and stay a few nights.
