Moose Lake State Park

Moose Lake, Minnesota

Welcome to Moose Lake State Park located in the rolling hill country of northern Minnesota near the town of Moose Lake.

Park History: In 1962, local residents began to develop interest in the establishment of a state park in order to make more campsites available in the region. Nine years later in 1971, their wish was granted and over the years many other amenities have been added to the park.

Flora and Fauna: Moose Lake State Park's fields and forests help protect the habitat for numerous species of plants and animals. Some of the park's plants include aspens, maples, basswoods, birches and others. Some of the park's animals include deer, ducks, geese, and numerous songbirds. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors this park boasts miles of multipurpose trails, a swimming beach, a volleyball net, a picnic area, and over 30 campsites (20 with electricity). Come on out and explore!
