Nemadji State Forest

Welcome to Minnesota's beautiful Nemadji State Forest located along the Wisconsin border.
Camping: The Gafvert Campground located within the forest has 18 drive in campsites which are popular with hunters and OHV riders. There are vault toilets and drinking water pumps but no bathhouses.
Trails: This forest boasts over 100 miles of multipurpose trails including the Matthew Lourey State Trail and Gandy Dancer Trail, both of which are popular with OHV's. Equestrians will find over 32 miles of trails open to horseback riding and on snowy winter days there are 3 miles of trails for cross-country skiers.
