Welcome to Mille Lacs State Wildlife Management Area in Onamia, Minnesota. This large nature preserve was first established in 1949 and at the time this description was written in March of 2025 it was still 60% forested with the rest being wetlands. There are no official trails here but this is a huge preserve that helps protect important wildlife habitat and feeds the acre counter.
