George Crosby Manitou State Park

Welcome to George Crosby Manitou State Park located in Silver Bay, Minnesota. While in George Crosby Manitou State Park Hikers must keep an eye out for wolves, moose, and bears.

Park History: The park was donated to the state of Minnesota from George Crosby in 1955. Like many of the other parks in the region, the bedrock was formed by volcanic activity dating back as far as 1.1 billion years.

Flora and Fauna: George Crosby Manitou State Park helps protect the home of numerous plant and animals species. Some of the plants that grow inside the park boundaries include firs, cedars, and many wildflowers. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include moose, wolves, bears, deer, squirrels, rabbits, hawks, and others. Please treat their home with respect.
