Old Wadena Park
Welcome to Old Wadena Park in Staples, Minnesota. This park is rich in history. For many years it was the territory of the Chippewa Tribe in fact Wadena means “little round hill” in the Chippewa language. In the late 18th century Fur Traders built the region’s first trading post here in 1783. Today this park has some great trails and a campground with 12 sites suitable for both tents and campers but no hookups provided.
