Garden Island State Recreation Area
Welcome to the northernmost unit in the Minnesota State Park system, the majestic Garden Island State Recreation Area located near Williams, Minnesota.
Park History: Only accessible by watercraft, the area that is now Garden Island was once the home of John Tanner, a man who was both kidnapped, rescued, and raised by the local indigenous peoples.
