Mon-Shon Prairie Conservation Area

Welcome to Mon-Shon Prairie Conservation Area located in Asbury, Missouri in Barton County. Mon-Shon is the Osage term that means Sacred Earth. The Nature Conservancy first purchased this land in 1987 and a year later in 1988 the State of Missouri gained the title. There are great wildflowers in the spring and summer months and deer hunting is by archery only.
