Marion Bottoms Conservation Area

Centertown, Missouri

Welcome to Missouri's Marion Bottoms Conservation Area located on the banks of the Missouri River. The State of Missouri first purchased this land in 1996 with the assistance of federal funding in order to protect important wetlands in a region that suffered from a devastating flood in 1993. Today this oasis of marches, fields, and forests helps protect wildlife habitat for snapping turtles, foxes, white-tailed deer, grey squirrels, red-tailed hawks, and many others. Though there are no designated trails the human visitor is welcome to come out and explore!
