Rock Bridge Memorial State Park
Missouri's beautiful Rock Bridge Memorial State Park is dominated by a unique limestone bedrock that is known as karst, which means an area rich in caves and sinkholes. Rock Bridge itself is a natural rock formation and not a manmade structure. This park was also the site of the first paper mill west of the Mississippi River which was built in 1834. It was also once a whiskey distillery in 1847. The land first became a state park in 1967.
Camping: All the campsites at Rock Bridge Memorial State Park are primitive. There is no electricity or water.
