Sioux Passage Park
Welcome to Sioux Passage Park located in Florissant, Missouri. Like the name implies this park has a lot of Native American history. Being located at the confluence of Mill Creek and the Missouri River, this land was an ideal living place for the Natives during the Woodland Era. The hunting and fishing were both very good and they used the land's flint resources to make weapons and tools. A nearby spring also provided them with their drinking water. Archeological Evidence indicates a human presence as early as 100 A.D. In the early 19th Century some of the first white men entered the region via steamboat and one of them may have very well been Zebulon Pike. In the fall of 1967, this land became a Saint Louis County Park. This park is well known for it's multipurpose trails for all seasons and also has a disc-golf course, tennis courts, a boat ramp with access to the Missouri River, and much more. Come out and explore!
