Fuson Conservation Area

Grovespring, Missouri

Welcome to Fuson Conservation Area located near Grovespring, Missouri in Wright County. This place is named for a great local physician Dr. John Alva Fuson. Most of the preserve is forested and the rest is fields. This place helps protect habitat for a diversity of wildlife including deer, rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, and wild turkeys. There are even three caves located on the property, Smittle, Little Smittle, and Lowell, the first one being one of the largest caves in Missouri. Sadly all public access to the cave is prohibited, sorry spelunkers.
