Ellis Porter/Riverside Park
Welcome to Ellis Porter/Riverside Park on the banks of the Missouri River in Jefferson City, Missouri, For many years Jefferson City's Ellis Porter/Riverside Park was simply known as Riverside Park but was renamed in 1961 in honor of former mayor Arthur Ellis and former Parks Director Ben Porter. This is the main athletic park of Jefferson City and is home to more youth sports games than any other recreation area in town. The Optimist Sports Complex was first constructed in the 1980's and can be contacted by calling 573-634-6482. One of the more unique features of this park's playground is the steamboat which the kids will love.
