Welcome to Dan and Maureen Cover Prairie Conservation Area located in Koshkonong, Missouri in Howell County. At the time that this description was written on July 21, 2021 about 60% of the preserve's land was grassland with the rest being hardwood scrub forest. Dan Cover first purchased this land in 1988 and raised swine on it for many years before donating it to the state government in 2001.
