Welcome to Anita B. Gorman Park in Kansas City, Missouri. This park was first established in 1957 and named Northgate Park. It was eventually renamed for a woman who was an active member of her local community. Some of her accomplishments include helping protect a local Native American archeological site of the Hopewell tribe, helping to establish the city's airport, and President of the Park and Recreation Commission.
