Little Indian Creek Conservation Area

Saint Louis, Missouri

Little Indian Creek Conservation Area is a nature preserve located in eastern Missouri just southwest of Saint Louis. Before this land was purchased by the State of Missouri it was owned by Oscar and Eloise W. Johnson for a half century from 1928 untill 1978. The land was used for many years for timber and agricultural purposes but today it has returned to a state of nature with forests and bottomland fields that give habitat to deer, rabbits, migratory birds, and many other animals.
