Duke Forest
Welcome to Duke Forest located on the campus of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. The University first established this forest in 1931 and has used the land for educational and conservation purposes. Many science students from the University take field trips to the forest. Some of the wild animals that can be found in the forest include white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, beavers, and over 60 species of birds. For the recreational enthusiast Duke Forest boasts miles of multipurpose trails, two picnic shelters that can be reserved by calling 919-613-9013, and much more. Whether you are a Duke Blue Devil or not, you are welcome to come out and explore!
