Lake Higgins

Welcome to Lake Higgins in Summerfield, North Carolina. This urban reservoir was named in memory of City of Greensboro Councilman Vic Higgins. Though the smallest of the city's 3 reservoirs this one has some excellent fishing. Kayaks can be rented but motorized watercraft cannot be rented.

When visiting any park in Greensboro, North Carolina it is important to know the rules.

*All vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all State of North Carolina traffic laws.

*All cyclists must stay on designated trails and must wear helmets.

*Any advertising or conducting of sales requires special permit.

*The following are prohibited, weapons, alcoholic beverages, remote control toys, skateboards, rollerblades, littering, harrassing of park wildlife, damaging public property.

*All animals must be leashed and waste moreved.

*All registered sex offenders are prohibited on park grounds.

*All burning is restricted to picnic grills. All parties 20 people and more must pay for picnic shelter.

*All persons ages 13 and up may not fish in the park waterways without special permission.
