Welcome to 1898 Memorial Park in Wilmington, North Carolina. This park is named in memory of all those who perished in the only coup d'etat in United States history which occurred here on November 10, 1898.

Wilmington North Carolina Park Ordinances

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at dawn and close at dusk.

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, harming wildlife, littering, smoking or vaping, weapons.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, motor vehicles, organized athletic play, swimming. 

*All dogs must be leashed and waste removed.

*Overnight camping requires special permit.

*All skate park users must wear proper helmets and pads.
