Ash Hollow State Historical Park

Lewellen, Nebraska

Welcome to Ash Hollow State Historical Park in Lewellen, Nebraska. Due to the fresh spring water on this land, this was an important stopping point for travelers of both the California and Oregon Trails. Long before the first white settlers arrived in the region it was also an important water source for the Native Americans. Come out and explore the hiking trail, see the grand cave where cavemen once lived, view some wildlife, and learn some history.

Picnicking: Ash Hollow's picnic area has 28 tables and 5 grills. Come out and bring the family and friends and have fun.
