Welcome to Dead Timber State Recreation Area located on the banks of the Elkhorn River in Scribner, Nebraska. Come out and explore the trails or grill some meats at the picnic area.
Boating and Fishing: Gas powered watercraft are prohibited on the 50 acre lake at Dead Timber SRA but all other boats are welcome. You may catch a bluegill, catfish, carp, crappie, or largemouth bass.
Powder Horn WMA is included in this park's acreage.
