Welcome to Cheyenne State Recreation Area located in Wood River, Nebraska. Aquatic recreational opportunities abound here with it's 15 acre pond which is open to non-gas powered watercraft and is full of carp, bluegill, perch, catfish, and smallmouth bass. There are no boat ramps so the boat must be light enough to carry.

Picnicking: Cheyenne State Recreateion Area has three shelters, eight tables, and six grills.

Camping: All of the camping is primitive with no officially designated sites. Restrooms and water are located nearby.
