Horse Hill Nature Preserve

Merrimack, New Hampshire

Welcome to the beautiful Horse Hill Nature Preserve in Merrimack, New Hampshire. This park is named for one of the high hills that is located within it's borders, rising over 400 feeet around the surrounding area. The City of Merrimack first purchased this land in 2002 in order to protect it's forest and wetland habitats. Some of the remains of the homes of the region's first settlers can still be seen on the property today. The land for years was used for timber and agricultural purposes but has now returned to a state of nature. Come out and explore the park's multipurpose trails that are open year round.
