White Island Historic Site

Rye, New Hampshire

Welcome to New Hampshire's White Island Historic Site located just off the Coast of Rye. This park was the site of the first lighthouse of the Isle of the Shoals which was built in 1820 and is also New Hampshire's only off-shore Lighthouse. The United States Government rebuilt the lighthouse in 1859 and it wasn't until 1993 when the State of New Hampshire gained title to the land.
