Welcome to Mount Mitchill Scenic Overlook located in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. This overlook is the highest natural elevation on the mainland Atlantic seaboard from Maine all the way down to the Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. The elevation is 266 feet above sea level and the views of New York City and the bays are spectacular. This park is also special in that it is the home of the Monmouth County September 11th Memorial. 147 people who were killed in the attacks of September 11, 2001 resided in Monmouth County, New Jersey and this beautiful stone structure topped with an eagle statue was built in memory of those people. Come on out and enjoy the view!
