Welcome to Emerson Woods, a second growth forest preserve located on the shores of the Oradell Reservoir in Emerson, New Jersey. Many years ago this land was once cleared for agricultural purposes but has since returned to a state of nature. In the 1920's the Hackensack Water Company (which would later become United Water New Jersey) purchased this land, as well as many other parcels to help protect the water in the reservoir.
