Butler Road Natural Area
Welcome to Butler Road Natural Area in Franklin Park, New Jersey. Franklin Township first purchased this land from a local real estate developer in the 1970's. Come out and explore nearly 5 miles of multipurpose trails for all seasons.
The park's website says 185 acres but the GIS data gives the number below. Thus the exact acreage is unknown.

Franklin New Jersey Park Ordinances
*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at dawn and close 30 minutes after dusk.
*The following are prohibited; alcohol, defacing public property, glass objects, harming wildlife, littering, soliciting, weapons.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; archery, entering and exiting the parks, fires, golf, horseback riding, motor vehicles, picnicking, remote control aircraft, skating, sledding.
*The following require special permits; advertising, sales.
*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 6 feet) and waste removed. They are not allowed at Bunker Hill Environmental Center.
