Stephens State Park
Welcome to Stephens State Park located on the banks of the Mosconetcong River in Hackettstown, New Jersey. While visiting this park one can see the remains of one of the original 23 locks of the Morris Canal which once stretched 90 miles from Newark to Phillipsburg and shipped coal and iron ore across The Garden State.
Camping: Stephens State Park has a campground with 39 sites for tents and small trailers. Bathrooms with showers are not far from the sites. Come out and stay a few nights.
Fishing and Hunting: Anglers will find some great trout fishing oppotunities on the Mosconetcong River and Hunters have over 470 acres of terrain.
Picnicking: There are several picnic sites with charcoal grills along the Mosconetcong River. A playground for the kids is located nearby.
Trails: Stephens State Park boasts 6 miles of multipurpose trails that are popular with equestrians, hikers, and mountain bikers alike. Come out and explore.
