Liberty State Park
Welcome to the beautiful Liberty State Park located in northern New Jersey just across the river from New York City and not far from the Statue of Liberty. Many people from both states flock here to enjoy the vast recreational opportunities.
Kayaking: This is actually one of the best places for many miles around to go kayaking and every so often there are tours. Come do some paddling while getting a nice view of the Big Apple.
Trails: Liberty State Park has lots of trails, many miles of paved multipurpose trails.
History lovers will also love it here. Liberty State Park is home to the historic Central Railroad Terminal of New Jersey. One can also gain ferry access to nearby Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Liberty State Park is also home to the local September 11th memorial that is dedicated to the World Trade Center and all those who lost their lives that day.
Picnic Shelters: Liberty State Park has two picnic shelters. Pavilion A has a 120 person capacity and Pavilon B has an 80 person capacity. Both shelters have grills and can be rented out for special occasions.
