Welcome to New Jersey's beautiful Cheesequake State Park. This protected park located in the New York City suburbs protects a diversity of habitats from saltwater marsh to Pine Barrens and Hardwood Forest. Many anglers come from miles around to fish the 6 acre Hooks Creek Lake for it's trout, sunfish, largemouth bass, and catfish. The lake also has a lifeguarded swimming beach from Memorial Day up until Labor Day. Cheesequake State Park boasts a very large picnic area and all of the tables have grills. Come bring some meats for cooking and bring a few friends.
