Becker Park
Welcome to Becker Park located in Roseland, New Jersey.
Park History: In 1969 a combination of county, state, and federal funds led to the purchase of the land that is now Becker Park. Before it became a park it was a part of the Becker Dairy Farm where many dairy cattle were grazed and many crops grown. In 1880 August Becker started a 50 acre farm that eventually grew to over 120 acres in size. The "Centerville and Southwestern" small gauge railroad took children around the farm from 1940 until 1972. Today what remains of the railroad is in Allaire State Park except for the Lackawanna 1500 Steam Engine which is on display at the Ford Museum in Michigan. Come on out and have fun!
