Washington County Park

Union City, New Jersey

Welcome to Washington County Park in Union City, New Jersey. Before this land became a park it belonged to a rich family, the Suckley's, who were local real estate tycoons. In the early 20th century a local resident named Dr. Ulamor Allen helped to garner local interest and a campaign to make the site into a park. In 1917 after years of fighting, Allen finally got his wish.

The soccer fields and ball diamonds are lighted and the volleyball court is a paved court.
