Brantley Lake State Park
Welcome to the home of the southernmost lake in the State of New Mexico, Brantley Lake State Park! This is a great fisherman's destination where one can catch largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill, and crappie. (WARNING! According to the New Mexico State Government there are traces of DDT in this park's fish so please do not eat them) This park hosts special events like the kite flying festival in March, Earth Day events in April, and the "Kids Fishing Clinic" in May. The campground has 51 developed campsites and the park also has over two and a half miles of trails. Come on out and have a blast! While you are in the area, please feel free to stop by Carlsbad Caverns National Park!
