Welcome to Heron Lake State Park located amidst the tall pines and high peaks of Northern New Mexico. This is a popular water-sports destination but motorboats are allowed to operate at now-wake speeds only. The winds make this a popular sailing and windsurfing destination and record size trout have brought many anglers here. The Park's 5.5 mile trail connects up to nearby El Vado Lake State Park. The campground has 250 developed sites. To discuss reservations call the park office at 575-588-7470. Come on out and have a blast!
