Welcome to Sumner Lake State Park! This is a park that is rich in 19th century history including two museums, the nearby Fort Sumner State Monument, and Billy the Kid's gravesite. The park offers numerous recreational opportunities including hiking, swimming, camping and fishing (the catch includes catfish, bass, crappie and walleye). Sumner Lake itself is 4 miles long and 3 miles wide. Come on out and explore.
