Nevada National Parks

Welcome to Nevada's beautifukl Great Basin National Park located in the eastern part of the state near the border with Utah. Great Basin National Park has a long human history that spans from Native Americans to Mormon Pioneers. This park is home to Wheeler Peak, which at 13,065 feet above sea level is the second highest mountain in all of Nevada. One can also explore over 60 miles of hiking trails or see the park's magnificent caves.

Camping: All of the campsites at Great Basin National Park are primitive. Come out and stay few nights and see some of the nation's best star-gazing opportunities.

This was RecPlanet place of the day on April 7, 2018.
