Beattie Square
Welcome to New York City's Beattie Square located in Brooklyn. First established in 1884, this is one of Brooklyn's oldest public spaces and was named in 1921 for WWI Army Veteran Private Joseph S. Beattie.
New York City Park Ordinances
*Unless otherwise posted all parks close at 1:00 a.m. and open at 6:00 a.m.
*The following are prohibited; childless adults in the playground areas, defacing public property, fighting, gambling, glass objects, harming wildlife, littering, sexual activity, weapons.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; alcoholic beverages, bicycles, fires, fishing, horseback riding, motor vehicles, swimming.
*The following require special permits; camping, sales.
*All animals must be leashed and waste removed.
